One of my first big clients after moving back to Columbus, OH was The Warp Gate, a trading card store specializing in Magic the Gathering and Warhammer. When I first heard that they were moving locations to a much more prime piece of real estate I reached out to them, pitching the idea that they could stand to have a brand refresh.

They had already established themselves as a key player in the local trading card and convention scene, but their branding did not reflect the caliber of their business. Part of why I approached them was because I wanted to help them cultivate being a welcoming and inclusive space in the city for table top gaming, as well as being a safe place for new players to come and learn new games, and to give people a place to come and share their love for their favorite games in person, as well as have an opportunity to meet people in real life.

Over the last few years we have elevated their brand identity, created placemaking with a large scale mural, built out a large collection of merchandise, and completely revamped their convention booth presence. When we first started they were primarily using two six-foot tables, and now they have a full scale island at conventions around the country.
